IT TAKES A VILLAGE
Chef Chris Coble
I began my culinary career in 1986 at a small local pizza parlor. While attending the Culinary Institute of America, I did my externship here in Ft. Worth at the Worthington Hotel. Upon graduation in 1991, I was asked back to the Worthington where I worked as a line cook in the Brasserie La Salle restaurant. I then took a job as a Chef Tournant in Bermuda. Following that was a stint on the opening team of the El Conquistador Resort in Puerto Rico. On St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands I worked as Head Chef of Saychelles Restaurant and the renowned Chateaux Bordeaux Restaurant. I then went to sea and worked as Executive Chef/F&B Manager of the motor yacht Lady Bebe. Cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner; complete with breads from scratch and specialty desserts helped to round out my culinary repertoire. In 1999, I moved back to Fort Worth and started Your Personal Chef in 2000. After 15 years of in-home service, Janet and I decided to open a commercial kitchen in Aledo. This has allowed us to reach a larger audience, increase our catering capacity and allow for greater experimentation. We are currently looking for cost effective solutions to providing healthier children's lunches. In 2012, I joined the Chefs Move to Schools program. It is our goal to work with the AISD in any way possible to help with quality of school lunches. I will also be mentoring through the ProStart program within the FWISD.
Janet Coble
I am originally from Hutchinson, Kansas. I obtained my B.S. in accounting from Kansas State University in 1997 and moved to Fort Worth in 2000. I have always loved cooking and after working dinner parties with my husband, I decided to take some local cooking classes and make a career change. I left the corporate world in 2005 and have been cooking for some of Fort Worth's finest since then. Over the past nine years, I have built a solid culinary foundation. Since the birth of our children, Lily and Sam, I have taken a reduced role as a chef. I still manage the administrative side of our business and continue to help with dinner parties and catering events. I look forward to answering any questions you may have about Your Personal Chef.
